Commercial Use Cases
Ideal for resorts, waterfront venues, restaurants/bars, theme parks, and
event pavilions seeking authentic commercial tiki hut construction with high-wind and flood compliance.
This 50′ × 100′ commercial tiki hut demonstrates large-scale tiki pavilion construction in a VE coastal zone using
12×12 pressure-treated pine posts (≈12′ above grade), 12×12 beams, commercial round rafters (≈12″ butt),
and a dense 3×4 purlin grid under a natural thatch roof. It features 5′ perimeter overhangs on all sides for
enhanced shade and rain protection. The structure includes custom-built trusses with heavy steel connection plates,
custom steel base plates at posts, helical piles ~35′, 5′ × 5′ concrete footers, and a full concrete slab.
Operations upgrades include hurricane shutters, roll-down curtains, an exterior breakaway wall design,
and a perimeter bar top rail system. Delivered by Monster Tiki Huts.
Notes: Sizes/depths reflect project documentation and field conditions; final engineering governs member sizing, connection schedule, and pile/footing criteria.
